The Velvicks
The Velvicks
From the basement of “The Monroe Mansion” in Brooklyn, New York, 4 guys started throwing live music parties when a booking agent showed up and offered to book the them. A few months later they formed The Velvicks and debuted at Irving Plaza.
Since then, they have been growing exponentially through live performances alone. They are delivering an all original "stadium rock" experience to intimate and well known venues like Rough Trade, National Sawdust, Surf Lodge and Gramercy Theater without having released any music yet.
With influences from Pink Floyd, Queens of The Stone Age, Foo Fighters, The Black Keys and Radiohead, the band is delivering heart pounding rock that is familiar yet with a sound and vision completely singular. “Songs are making sense, the band is delivering badass live performances and people are responding to it.” says Vick Nader -Lead Vocals.
The band just finished their first album to be released soon. Check out their calendar for upcoming dates and experience them live.
Monique Maion
Monique Maion
Queer Brazilian singer-songwriter moved to California to dive deep into the psyche searching the cure for her seizures through the sound of silence. Back on stage in 2018, after few healing years in studio, Monique sings her sultry story in a jazzy psychedelic ground.
Ladybeetle
Ladybeetle
To call Ladybeetle “Americana” is to wholly encompass what makes America. Soul, jazz, conflict, blues,
sex, rock and roll, folk, and evolution in real-time. Embodied in one woman, the alchemy of these
elements combined creates pure gold. Pulling inspiration from the roots of American music,
frontwoman Elyse Cizek’s songwriting creates a familiar yet deeply unique gaze into the intimate world
of a woman with both feet firmly grounded and hands newly unchained. Elyse Cizek’s deep, tobacco-
stained vocals resonate with sensuality and unrivaled confidence, with lyrics that bite and tear into the
heart of the listener.
Akin to Cizek’s first release under her full name, Ladybeetle’s strengths lie in lyrical vulnerability and
conscious arrangements, but while once she had self-described her sound as “sad girl piano music,” this
new work is notably evolved and a clearly directed move into Americana with full force. Written in
isolation in the San Bernardino Mountains, Ladybeetle’s forthcoming releases invoke the smell of old
wood and hearth fire, the touch of leather and silk, and the fresh air of newfound freedom.
