If you hang around the Los Angeles music scene, it’s likely you’ve heard of bassist and composer Logan Kane. Born and raised in the suburbs of Pleasanton, California Logan Kane thrived in solitude, developing a completely original style which has been described as “beautifully chaotic”. In the world of jazz and creative music he has performed with some of the highest profile artists including David Binney, Chris Potter, Nate Wood, Justin Brown, Katisse Buckingham, Roy McCurdy and Steve Lehman. As electric bassist for thriving LA Funk-Punk outfit Thumpasaurus, Logan has had the opportunity to open for cult acts as Vulfpeck, Knower, Wavves, and Motet. Logan’s name has become synonymous with his bright red Fender Jaguar Bass which he obtained in the 7th grade back when Best Buy sold musical instruments. He is currently hard at work on a solo project Open Eyes The Boy Phoenix where he plays every single instrument and sings and reads original poetry, inspired by free jazz, hip hop, and 80’s hardcore punk. Expect a crazy album from him in 2019. Logan is also an avid poet and visual artist whose work is inspired by a wide range of influences including Allen Ginsberg, John- Michel Basquiat, Francis Bacon, Pablo Picasso, David Hockney and John Ashbury.
