French-Canadian artist mokina soothes audiences with her chilly debut single ‘landline’, blending nuances of jazz, r&b and indie music through lush vocal harmonies and intricate synth and keyboard lines.
The Montreal based artist previously performed as a musician for several bands, touring and performing internationally at festivals such as The Governors Ball, SXSW
and Edinburgh Fringe.
STIG is an all-instrumental progressive jazz funk
band consisting of 5 best friends from a myriad of places
both geographically and musically. “We share music with
each other during the day, and weave those news ideas
into our shows at night.” Their improvisational nature
paired with tight communication and 2 years of playing
and growing together creates an exploratory and engaging
live show experience. Since forming in Boston while
attending Berklee College of Music, STIG has been
touring the country non-stop, playing high-energy shows,
and catering their funk to the vibe and energy of the
The band recently relocated to Asheville, North Carolina
after falling in love with the town while on tour. An
Asheville home base means the chance to dive deep into
writing music full time, putting it out there and playing it.

Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Joel Schnaper came to Boston in 2013 play trumpet and study under 1997 Thelonious Monk Competion winner Darren Barrett. After graduating Berklee College of Music in 2017, Joel spent a year playing around Boston with his first original jazz group, the Schnaper-Walberg Quintet, as well as writing and recording his debut album "Directions," produced by former teacher Darren Barrett, and set for release in Spring 2019.

Joel has studied, taught and performed on the east and west coast of the US, as well as internationally in Malawi, Canada, and China. He’s studied with some of the finest trumpet players of our time, including Lew Soloff, Laurie Frink, Sean Jones, Charlie Lewis, Jason Palmer, and Al Hood. Joel has toured and performed with greats such as James Montgomery, Jon Butcher, Brian McKnight and Lenny Stallworth, among many others. Joel is now based in Los Angeles, where he works prolifically as a sideman, arranger, and bandleader.
