Particle began its journey in Los Angeles in 2000 as one of the key pioneers of the emerging ‘livetronica’ music scene. The band created a signature sound that combined elements of Electronica, Funk and Rock with a heavy emphasis on improvisation and sonic exploration, and their influence can still be felt and heard in many of today’s top touring Jam and EDM/Funk bands.
Always striving to think outside the box and create unique concert experiences, Particle paired their high-energy dance music with cutting-edge multimedia production, thematic special events, and epic marathon sets that quickly developed a loyal fan base of Particle People spanning genre lines from jam to EDM.

Particle is currently hard at work finishing enough studio tracks to populate up to two new full-length albums, both of which will be released in 2015. In the meantime, the band plans to premiere select studio singles and to make their new music as accessible as possible for old and new fans alike. As Molitz said in a recent interview, “Particle has always been fueled by the energy of our fans, and we’re so excited to get back out on the road full-time, and to share all of this new music with the Particle People...”
So it is that the man who leads the dance-funk fever dream 7 Come 11 continually pushes the musical envelope. You’ll find him on his trusted Hammond organ, whipping up a sumptuous bass line with his foot pedals, chopping out funky textures and melodies with his paws, weaving in electronic whizz and purr, lathering his kaleidoscopic music with a touch of the future. “It’s earth-shaking. It’s raw,” Staiano says of Light It Up, a five-track EP that shakes with power and fury, and blazes with the energy and unrestrained emotion that has come to define 7 Come 11’s raucous live shows. “This project is me completely taking the reigns,” he says. “All of my musical heroes were very forward-thinking. Anybody that is recognized for doing anything significant thinks that way.” Since sharing the stage with a few of these heroes, Staiano has gained even more insight into every aspect of the music-making process. “Being able to hang out and just chat in the off moments waiting in the lobby or wherever have really shaped the direction of where I'm headed, what I want to do and how I'm going to go about doing it,” he says.
