nuffsed
Nuffsed was Seattle's premier rock roots reggae group in the early 2000s.  With musical influences ranging from roots reggae, so-cal punk and old school hip hop (and vocalists able to perform a range from roots to dancehall), nuffsed takes its army of fans on a dynamic musical journey with songs that go from high energy punk rock/dancehall to slower lovers roots.  Theres something for everyone in their performance and they are truly a band's band.  Their career was filled with sold out shows for their dedicated fans, opening for and back lining reggae heavy hitters like Eek a mouse, Don Carlos, Damian Marley and Prezident Brown to name a few, and ultimately highlighted by a performance at Reggae on the River in 2005.  The band eventually went their separate ways but are bringing their explosive sound back from retirement for one last show...nuffsed....the band, the myth, the legends......
Tropical Storm Sound System International
Tropical Storm Sound System International
Tropical Storm Sound System International TM (TSSI) was
founded in 1998 shortly before DJ Andju aka “Hurricane
Andju” moved to the United States from Lydford Park in St.
Ann, Jamaica. The sound gained more gravity in the
Midwestern United States around 2007 as Hurricane Gilbert
aka “Gibby Ranks” immigrated from Kenya and met Andju.
The two began to bless venues with disc jockey skills and
selections in reggae for years to come.
The two DJs developed skills and professions not only in reggae music, but also in the engineering and medical industry. TSSI performed at venues from North Carolina to California. DJ Andju performed opening reggae DJ sets and band break sets for numerous big artists in the industry. Associated acts and remix products included Mighty Diamonds, Everton Blender, I-Octane and Morgan Heritage to name a few. Influences include legendary sounds like Bass Odyssey, Stone Love and Rennaissance.
In 2015 the DJs relocated to California, and performed opening reggae DJ sets and concert productions with artists like Ras Shiloh, Warrior King, and Yami Bolo to name a few.
Today with over 50,000 songs in the arsenal, the DJ's continue to bless venues with heavy weight reggae “turntablist” selection including afro beat ventures, and dub plate remix production with major producer collaborations back home in Jamaica and internationally. The sound also has promising presence across online radio stations worldwide.
