The Mint’s intimate and sophisticated décor provides a unique atmosphere for an LA music nightclub. Built in the late 1930’s as a blues bar, the Mint is now host to an eclectic mix of quality up-and-coming artists as well as established national acts.

Featuring one of the best sounding rooms in LA, the club is well set up for most any kind of entertainment. The Mint can accommodate a wide variety of events such as CD Release parties, holiday parties, birthdays, wrap parties and many other occasions. For smaller gatherings, we have 2 separate VIP rooms, each capable of holding upwards of 20 patrons. These are ideal for VIP guests, band members or for smaller parties that do not want to rent out the whole club. (see pictured here).

The Mint is also available to rent for recording sessions. In the mid 90’s the room was acoustically engineered by the reputable firm Pilchner and Shoustal and is often lauded for the fine quality of its sound. Taj Majal later recorded a live album at the Mint, Shouting in Key, which brought home a Grammy. Musicians and industry personnel widely regard The Mint as one of the premiere rooms in LA. “Pound for pound, the best club in LA” Leo Nocentelli of The Meters on describing the Mint.

For location scouts and directors, The Mint has become a reliable and versatile spot for filming. The distinctive style of the Mint shines through on camera and it has been used over the years for TV, movies and music videos. Man in the Moon depicting the life of Andy Kaufman, MTV shows, Undiscovered by Lionsgate, an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm as well as quite a few independent projects and music videos were shot here.

No matter what the occasion, you can count on The Mint to host a memorable and fun event. In addition to a fully stocked bar we offer a tappas style menu, which has received glowing reviews by the LA media. (see Menu on our web site). Many parties opt to have our tasty appetizers tray-passed, which enables your guests to eat and mingle at the same time.
